Professor Edoba Omoregie holds a PhD in Law from the University of Benin (2010) bagged the Master of Laws (LLM) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Law from the same University in 1999 and 2010 respectively. He was conferred with the prestigious statutory rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) for his academic distinction in the legal profession in 2021. His teaching and professional career has spanned over 25 years in the tertiary education system with over 150 publications to his credit. Until his appointment as Vice Chancellor, University of Benin in 2024, Professor Omoregie, SAN, was on national assignment with the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Abuja – the think-tank of Nigeria’s National Assembly as Director, Legislative Support Services.
