Prof. A. E. Odiko
Prof. A. E. Odiko is a distinguished scholar of Fisheries Management with almost two decades of teaching, research and administrative experience at the University of Benin. She holds a Ph.D. in Fisheries Management from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, an M.Sc. and B.Agric.(Fisheries) from the University of Benin, as well as a certification in Cybersecurity. Rising through the academic ranks to become a professor in 2024, she has taught a wide range of courses in aquaculture, fish population dynamics, fisheries policy, and water quality management, while supervising over 100 undergraduate projects and several postgraduate theses. Prof. Odiko is widely published in reputable national and international journals, with research spanning fish quality, heavy metal assessment, parasitology, and aquatic ecosystem health. An active member of professional bodies including Fisheries Society of Nigeria (FISON), Association of Nigeria Fisheries Scientist (ANIFS) and OWSD, she has served in numerous University and Faculty leadership roles, contributing significantly to academic development and fisheries research in Nigeria. She is currently the Director of External Linkages and Internationalization, University of Benin.
